Youth Exchange
During our youth exchange we created a puppet theatre play from the first idea to the premiere at the 10th anniversary of our host the youth training center “ZIB Hagenmühle” in Austria. For that all participants had to deal with the topic theatre, it’s history and the role in our society and how theatre can be used to transport thoughts and feelings. In the altercation about theatre the participants have to share their knowledge about the multiple impact of theatre in their home countries and world wide. In several activities the participants got to know each other and start an exchange of thoughts about “their” relevant topics and they got the chance to create their own story, their own theatre play during discussions and brainstorming sessions. Following their thoughts they together created the story, the stage construction, the background paintings, the puppets, sound and light effects and acting of their puppets to transport their story, their message to the audience. The youth leader of the partner organisations and the local staff of the Zib-Hagenmühle accompanied the youngsters and support them during the creative processes so that the participants shall finally be able to create and realise their ideas.
