Training Course
Our participation in the training on the Key Competences for LLL in Youth Work in Brussels was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience! Learning more about LLL in the heart of Europe was quite appealing to us from the very beginning. The personal and professional development of young people has been at the core of the mission of PlanBe Organisation since 2014. Within a global knowledge-based society where the national economic competitiveness hugely depends on people’s knowledge and skills, LLL has become more than a necessity and the main topic of many public debates. The training was hosted by the YouthProAktiv Organisation and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. YouthProAktiv Organisation is a coalition of Brussels-based young experts advocating for entrepreneurship-friendly policies at national and international level to achieve a decent employment for all as well as a resource-free sustainable development.
The training actually focused on the Key Competences of LLL as set out by the Recommendation of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union (see diagram below). The training was mainly consisted of informative presentations, highly engaging workshops and activities all aiming to develop each competence as much as possible. Not only did we have the opportunity to learn more about LLL competences but also widen our network and actively interact with youth workers and experts from all over the world! Beyond the training, we explored the city of Brussels and everything it has to offer; the Royal Palace of Brussels, the European Parliament and the Atomium are only a few of the places we visited. It was an absolute pleasure and honour to be delegates of Cyprus and take part in this training! We would definitely do it again and again!
