About the project:

The Train (in) course project tackles rural depopulation through artistic co-creation and Forum Theatre. This Erasmus+ training will bring together 18 youth workers from across Europe in Cirat, Spain,
to exchange stories and explore common challenges in rural and urban areas, such as isolation and limited opportunities. Participants will engage with the local community through ethnographic research and create a Forum Theatre piece, performed in different nearby towns, connected by a local tourist train to encourage community participation. Using body expression, Biodanza, Theatre of the Oppressed,
improvisation, and storytelling, the project equips youth workers with creative tools they can apply in their own communities.

Objectives

-Equip participants with innovative tools through participatory artistic methodologies, non-formal education, and experiential learning to apply in their daily work.

-Tackle rural challenges and depopulation, using Theater of the Oppressed, co-creation, body expression, storytelling, creative writing, Biodanza, and improvisational theater to foster intercultural dialogue.

-Participate in an ethnographic research and connect with local communities

-Co-create a Forum Theater piece, performed in different villages of the region to engage rural youth and stimulate collective reflection

Location:

Cirat, is a village of 206 habitants, capital of the region of Alto Mijares, surrounded by an amazing nature with a lot of natural pools. The village have a shop, a pharmacy and some bars.

Requirements
– No age limit (+18 y.o)
– Be a youth worker or linked to non-formal education
– Priority to people living in rural areas or urban peripheries
– Gender balance
-Participants must have a valid European Health Insurance Card.
– Be active and carry out the tasks assigned to participants
– To consent the use of images in which you appear taken during the mobility with legitimate purposes of the project.
– Disseminate the content created during the Training Course

Profile of participants:

• 2 youth workers aged 18+
• Eligible to participate in this project are only Cypriots and/or Cypriot residents
• Food & accommodation are fully covered by the project
