TEYRA | SEULO, SARDINIA | 04-11 November | Dissemination Post

The Erasmus+ project, implemented in Seulo, Sardinia, addressed key challenges in rural areas by promoting employment, sustainable development, and youth retention. Over a week, 27 youth workers from nine countries participated in interactive workshops, debates, and networking sessions focused on professionalizing socio-educational animation and empowering local organizations.

By fostering collaboration and sharing innovative strategies, the project helped equip participants with tools to create better opportunities and prevent the rural youth exodus. Hosted in Seulo, a “blue zone” rich in cultural heritage, the initiative also highlighted sustainable living and resilience as models for rural development across Europe.

Quotes from the Cypriot Participants :

The trip to Sardinia was a beautiful experience! Our hospitality area, and the village was quaint and welcoming! All the participants were individuals with positive energy, and very much alive! We all bonded right away! The activities and program kept our interest and everyone will surely remember this life experience forever!

After attending the TEYRA project in the village of Seulo in Sardinia, which focused on the development and empowerment of young people in remote areas, the skills I gained as a participant were not only information about the problems that young people face in these areas but also possible techniques to solve them. Finally, we also met some people who live permanently in remote areas giving us the opportunity to understand some elements of their culture.
